In 1989, Stephen T. O'Connor of Chicago, Illinois (formerly of Succasunna, New Jersey), presented a concept called SKI LIKE YOU DRIVE to his friend, Dan Weeks, at a bar. Mr. O'Connor, like Mr. Weeks and many other Chicagoans, was bored at the time and often played video games to amuse himself until Summer came around. It was sheer desperation that prompted O'Connor to get off his butt and do something that was actually considered fun during the arctic months.

With the help of his friend Dan, who also had nothing else to do at the time, SKI LIKE YOU DRIVE was planned, designed and eventually stumbled upon. As demand for the trip grew, so did Steve's reliance on Scotch. Since 1989 when fifteen people signed up, SKI LIKE YOU DRIVE has grown to over one thousand people. The trip draws crowds from all over the United States and sometimes even Europe. What Steve’s trying to say while we type out all this shit is that anyone can come and play as long as you SKI LIKE YOU DRIVE.
